Carolee Clark & Donna Beverly

Donna Beverly

Donna grew up in Southern California within the heart of an orchard. Later in Santa Barbara and Los Angeles, she sought a degree in Art History, but found herself enjoying the "impractical" studio art drawing courses. She says,

"My paintings are my journal in brush markings. They are attempts at poetry in color, with brevity or exuberance I seek to capture an essence, a bit of autobiography in value and contrasts. My paintings are tokens of experiencing and responding to the moment."

Donna received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California and her Masters Degree in Fine Arts and Arts Education from the California Lutheran College. She pursued her painting while she taught art and English in high school, and then art in community college. Today, Donna is a full time artist and workshop teacher, living in Philomath, Oregon.

Carolee Clark

Originally from Canada, Carolee grew up watching her mother paint. From this inspirational start, Carolee continued to draw throughout childhood. After a successful career in business, she counts herself lucky to be able to pursue her love of painting. She has worked in watercolor, pastel and acrylic creating bold, colorful and expressive paintings.

"I recognize that the world is full of incredible imagery, so I am always pushing myself to go beyond the realistic subject matter that is in front of me. I try and put my own spin on what I see, whether it be beauty, humor, or an expression of emotion."

Carolee is a full time artist and now lives in Philomath, Oregon.
